New FGB Logo

I have been wanting to change my Flower Guard Books’ logo for quite some time now, but could never quite create what I was looking for…until today that is.

The daffodil is my absolute favourite flower for two reasons. The first is because they are bright and cheerful and they signify new beginnings and the start of warmer weather. The second is because they are the national flower of Wales, the place that I went to on family holidays every summer as a child, the place that my Nan shares extremely fond memories of as she was evacuated there during WW2 and finally, the place my other half hails from and as such the place that makes my children half Welsh.

I played about with colourful versions of this flower for my logo, but nothing looked quite right. Each one I tried to do looked amateur or cartoony. Then I drew this one…a very simple sketch of a very beautiful flower and I just knew it was what I’ve been trying to achieve for a long time.

I love what I’ve created, especially after the addition of the abbreviation FGB and my very own name.
