Where can I find end of year cards and gifts?

This is a question I find myself asking as the end of term approaches quickly. I have three kiddies, one in secondary, one in primary and one at nursery, so I can’t just buy the same thing for all. I also work in a school as a primary HLTA, so I’m always scratching my head with my colleagues about end of year gifts for the children. 🤔

As I was sat pondering a couple of years ago, I had an idea or two, or more, for some illustrations that could be used for thank you cards and so I spent some time coming up with…

…some mixed media illustrations and some really bad puns. #sorrynotsorry 😄

I looked into getting them printed by a few different companies, but to be honest, the prices were too much and I would have had to bulk buy, something I’m never happy doing when I don’t know if they’ll sell, as this isn’t in keeping with my ‘create on demand’ environmentally friendly ethos. It was these two factors that led me to printing my own cards and adding my designs to Redbubble!

When I print the cards myself I use responsibly sourced 300+ GSM card, print using green energy and use Kraft recycled envelopes. The cards I create have the added bonus of featuring sugar googly eyes, for added cuteness, which are compostable with your household compost waste. This factor means that the cards are the most environmentally friendly I could make them and also completely recyclable…even the packaging I send the cards in is vegan friendly and compostable.

I already have a lovely little Redbubble Shop for FGB and so it was just a case of uploading the images and selecting which items I wanted, a really easy process. I love Redbubble as they print everything on demand, their items are ethically produced and they have a great range. Some items are rather ridiculously priced if I’m honest, but I tend not to market these things and their smaller items such as cards, stickers, art boards, mugs, cushion covers and bags, etc are really competitively priced.

So if, like me, you’re racking your brain for end of year gifts and you’d like something that won’t cost a fortune and will cause a small business owner to do a happy dance, why don’t you pop on over to Redbubble and see if something takes your fancy or go straight to my FGB Etsy Shop if you’d like a googly eyed, fully recyclable quirky card.

Only another four (ish) weeks to go, so we’d better get our skates on! 😬
