Ruff’s Guide to Endangered Animals FREE resources

This year’s virtual East Riding Children’s Festival of Words will see me delivering a workshop at the event for the third year in a row and I have the pleasure of introducing my brand new book, Ruff’s Guide to Endangered Animals.

This illustrated, children’s non-fiction book was written to entertain, educate and engage children with nature and the environment and it features the Top Ten Critically Endangered Animals. These animals are in danger of disappearing in our children’s lifetime and so need our help immediately.

Ruff the dog is usually a travel guide, but as holidays are on hold this year due to the awful coronavirus, he has had to find something else to do and protecting these animals, who cannot protect themselves, has been his mission.

He has travelled from place to place to learn about why certain animals are in danger of extinction and what we all need to do in the future to prevent such needless loss of life. He wants us all to:

CHANGE OUR LIVES TO HELP SAVE THEIRS!

This simple slogan means so much to me and Ruff, as it easily explains that in order to help the endangered animals of the world we have to change our lives, we have to do something now, before it’s too late.

Ruff’s Guide to Endangered animals gives information about what organisations like the WWF and its supporters are already doing to help protect these creatures and it also shares ideas with its readers about what they can do to help prevent these animals from disappearing forever.

When I wrote the book I knew that it would have to be fun as well as informative and that is why I’ve included activity sheets at the back of the book. I have since decided that these activity sheets should also be FREE to print from my website and so, here they all are! I hope you have fun with them and in doing so, I really hope it opens your imagination up to how you can make a difference.

Please use these resources responsibly, don’t print them unless you intend to use them. I would love to see what you get up to, so please share any pics here on my website or to www.facebook.com/flowerguardbooks. Please tag #flowerguardbooks on Facebook and Instagram and #flowerguardbook on Twitter.

Hope you have fun and remember, we can all Change Our Lives to Help Save Theirs!
